Finding Your .minecraft Folder

Your .minecraft folder contains the core files of Minecraft. Without it, you will not be able to play Minecraft. Inside it is your bin folder containing your minecraft.jar, your Resources folder which contains the sounds for Minecraft, your Saves folder which contains your saved worlds, your Stats folder which contains logs of your activity in Minecraft, your Texture Packs folder which contains your downloaded texture packs, a file called lastlogin which contains your login info, and an Options.txt which contains your settings for Minecraft. There are 3 methods, and i will show you all 3.
---
Method One
-
1. Open My Computer and type in %appdata% in the address bar.
-
2. You will then see your .minecraft folder on top.
-
3. Double click it and you will see all the folders and files listed above.
---
Method Two
-
1. Open Minecraft, click on the Texture Packs tab and click Open texture packs folder.
-
2. You are currently in your .minecraft, now go up 1 folder and you will see all the folders and files listed above.
---
Method Three
-
1. Do method one. When you enter your %appdata%, right click on your .minecraft folder, select Send To and select desktop.
-
2. This will make a shortcut on your desktop directly linking you to your .minecraft folder.
---
Now you learned the three methods for finding your .minecraft folder! Thanks for reading and I hope this guide helped out.
