Death Valley Extreme: Round 1

Greetings, itouchisfun with another A.V.A. guide. This time it's for death valley and focuses more on the extreme level rather than the easier mode. In this guide I will try to explain how to pass through the level as easily as possible, and how to ensure you win by using teamwork.

- - - - - - - - - - -

Teamwork is essential in all sports, whether it be e-sports(video games), or physical sports such as basketball and football(worldwide). Without teamwork, your foundation would collapse and you most likely would not be able to succeed.

Just like everywhere else, teamwork is needed in this Co-Op mode as well, and it will definitely lead you to a victorious run at Death Valley.

First, before you start, you might want to play the Easy mode just to get a feel of things. It doesn't really matter who you're playing with for easy mode, so long as you're playing. If you fail with that team, play with them again. Eventually, you should get used to the ins and outs of the mode and how things work. If you can, try completing the entire mode with them. If not, that's fine too.

Once you're familiar with the mode, try picking out a few people you know are actually decent at Death Valley or make yourself a team. Whether it be newbies or not, you all can train. The best thing to do is gather four people and play together and see how you all work with each other on easy. If someone doesn't have a certain gun such as a PPSh-41, which is one of the best weapons for Death Valley, get 9-boxes on survival or play Rescue/Escape in order to win it.

Once you and your team have been practicing on Easy, and you've won a couple of times, you might be ready for the Extreme mode.

In the Extreme mode, the rewards chance a tiny bit. You have a chance of getting a new, permanent knife(Anaconda Kukri) and the mask the chainsaw dudes wear(Panfilov Mask - permanent as well). The Anaconda Kukri is not only rare and free, but it has boosted stats compared to the El-Raffe Kukri which is already 'good.'

So, you're about to start Extreme. Here's some things that should either be a requirement for all, or a backup.

- PPSh-41 (This weapon, which carries a 71-round drum magazine is extremely useful in Death Valley. You'll have to face swarms of monsters, and this can definitely get the job done, being a pointman's gun).

- Mad Galil (This weapon used to be a requirement for somebody on the team before the discovery of the RPG Glitch. Although you don't really need it, it is a great weapon to have along with you. If you're new at Death Valley: Extreme, I suggest you take one with you, or make sure someone else has one with them. I also recommend you get a Magazine Upgrade B in order to boost its maximum magazine capacity to 40 instead of 20. You can buy the Magazine Upgrade B for 7gcoins/day, or you can even play Death Valley: Easy, Prison Break: Rescue and Escape and Lockdown and win it from there. If you happen to get the Magazine Upgrade: A, that's fine too).

- El-Raffe Kukri (A free weapon which you can also get from Death Valley: Easy - It has power and is somewhat fast. Way better than the field knife).

- An average pistol (Something like the Desert Eagle which is free from Lockdown, or you can get it in Euro Jackpot capsules. If you don't have this pistol or something even better, it doesn't really matter. A good pistol will really help you when and if you run out of primary ammunition).

Really, that stuff above is about all you'll need. You don't need a ton of equipment really. Now, onto the actual gameplay.

Once you start, there's a sweet bug you can do in order to make it easier and faster the first round of gameplay. While everyone's loading, you can progress further by yourself through the cave and shoot down the barrels on the first bridge in front of you (Mad Galil could come into play here). If you manage to shoot all 4 barrels down, which causes the bridge to collapse, while in game, you will have no barrelthrowers-on-bridges for the first round. You can even destroy the second bridge if someone is really lagging. If you happen to do that and progress onto the UAVS, they'll shoot but can't really harm you. You can shoot them down and once in-game they'll be dead. However, there are rumors that while shooting the UAVs during pre-game, the game may get glitched. The only time I've ever done this, it didn't get glitched so... I guess it's a matter of who you want to listen to, or take your chances.

Wow, we haven't even started the actual game and this is getting to be such a long guide. Oh well, it'll help you.

So here we go, we've spawned.

Here's another thing you can do to make it somewhat easier, although it won't affect you that much. Once you all spawn, there will be a wooden barrier in front of you with an explosive barrel by its side, blocking you from going further. You can either blow this barrel up and progress through the cave, or wait.

If you choose to wait, wait until the timer hits 29:35-ish. When you see this, throw a grenade directly at the barrel(try making it land right next to it). The barrel will collapse, and the majority of the enemies will die, leaving a few strays which you can easily mow down.

What you just did is make it so when you get past that wooden barricade, you ensure that nobody will die. It's rare that someone WILL die, but it always helps to be safe, especially when it's your first time at Death Valley: Extreme. Now, no monsters will spawn until you get to the end of the cave, near the boat. You can just gun them down while running to the boat.

Tip number three for this guide is to run along the left side, and walk sideways/backwards while gunning down your attackers. By doing this, you can get to the boat and help your teammates get to the boat without being killed. Once you're on the boat, enemies will continue to attack, so make sure to start the boat as soon as you can, by walking up to the control panel near the front and holding 'E." You can turn around and gun more enemies while you're starting up the boat. Once the boat starts to leave, the cave will explode/collapse and you won't have to fight enemies for a little while.

If you did the pre-game glitch, by the time the boat gets to the bridge, the bridge will be gone. If you did the same for the second, the second will be gone as well. If you didn't do the pre-game bug, you will have to face 4 barrelthrowers on the second bridge only, if you shoot the first one down fast enough. If your boat gets to the first bridge and you haven't destroyed it, a couple of barrelthrowers will spawn - they shouldn't be too hard though.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On to the UAV portion.

There will be 3 batches of UAVs above of you, each in sets of two, firing literal UAVs at you. You don't want to get hurt by these. If you do, there are health packs on the boat. You can shoot them down(you'll know when they're dead when they explode). It sounds easy but there will be two closing walls beside you. Next to each wall, monsters will spawn.

A good strategy is to have two people gunning the UAVs, 1 person running along the left side and another along the right, protecting the UAV-killers from the enemies. The enemies that spawn shouldn't be too difficult, as they are the standard white-shirted advanced soldiers and the swift soldiers. You will have 4 small waves of enemies(2 adv. soldier waves and 2 swift-waves). The first and last should be the easiest. Once your boat gets to the end of the 'river,' and you've destroyed the UAVs in front of you. You will notice that you can jump off and walk up to a closed door on the stairs. If you jump off the boat onto the platform, enemies will spawn along with a barrelthrower-boss. It's sort of difficult to actually shoot and kill the barrelthrower with your guns, so here is tip number four.

Whoever the barrelthrower is attracted to will need to be suicidal for a little bit. While the boss is attracted you (make sure he is near you), run back to the boat and go to the front(tip) of the boat. When he's throwing barrels next to you, simply jump off the boat into the water and kill yourself. The boss should follow you, jump into the water, and also kill himself. Once this happens, you will be notified that he's dead and the gate at the top of the staircase will open.

Once you get inside the room above, make sure to collect Mystery Box #1.

Round 1 complete, 2 more to go. Oh god.
